Chalcogenide (CIR) Fiber Bundles, Convertors and Splitters
Chalcogenide Infra-Red (CIR-) fibers is a unique product based on the developments of the specialty fibers for the Mid-IR region. Chalcogenide glasses (As₂ S₃) transmit IR-radiation in the spectral range of 1.1 – 6 μm.
The CIR fibers are characterized by low total optical losses and low absorption peaks over the mentioned spectral range due to them being drawn in core/clad structure with a double polymer coating.
